Japanese Anemone
£50.00

Japanese Anemone flower art print.

A cluster of delicate white Japanese Anemone flowers, on a black background. The white anemones have a dense mass of yellow stamen in their centres and, together with bare seedheads where the petals have fallen away, and pink buds yet to open, emanate on red stems from a single stem, as part of a ‘cyme’ structure. In the background fresh leaves in bright green are layered over darker green leaves. Design is created from original, hand-painted flower artwork and inspired by traditional Roses and Castles canal folk art of C19 canalware.

Meaning: The Japanese Anemone can symbolise sincerity, anticipation, love, healing, health and protection from illness, though it has a wide variety of symbolic meanings from different cultures and periods in time.

✿ Flowering months in the UK: August, September, October, it is a late summer flower.
